Spring Foraging Walk at East Tytherley.

Join Johnny, our foraging expert and grower, for a foraging walk through the beautiful area around our East Tytherley market garden.

Saturday 6th June | 10am to 4pm | Farm Lunch Included

Hampshire Market Garden, Manor Farm,

East Tytherley, SP5 1LE.

Wild Food, Right on Our Doorstep

The countryside around our East Tytherley site in the Test Valley is remarkable. And in late May, it's alive with things you can eat.

On this guided walk, Johnny will lead a small group through parts of the local area, eyes to the ground and hedgerows, pointing out what's edible, what's medicinal, and what most people walk straight past every day without realising.

It's not a lecture. It's a walk with someone who genuinely knows this land, and wants to share what he sees in it.

On The Day

Meet at the farm at 10am and start with a tour of the market garden, then we'll head out together. The walk covers a mix of terrain so wear comfortable footwear and dress for the weather.

Johnny will walk you through what's growing and harvestable right now, talking through identification, uses, flavour, and the basics of foraging responsibly without stripping a place bare.

At midday we come back to the farm for a proper sit-down lunch made with seasonal ingredients, some of them gathered from the local area itself.

The afternoon we will head out again to a different area, with different species, different plants to try and an excitement for Spring Foraging.

Who Is It For?

Complete beginners are very welcome. You don't need any prior knowledge of foraging or wild plants. All you need is curiosity and a decent pair of shoes.

Where exactly is it and is there parking?

The workshop takes place at Manor Farm, East Tytherley, SP5 1LE. There is free parking on site. Follow signs for The Veg Shed. https://share.google/tNkeKKkmWBhWPisig

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we recommend booking online in advance. Numbers are limited and we want to make sure you don't miss out.

What if the weather is bad?

This is a farm in Hampshire in July, so we plan for all weathers. The day is designed to be outdoors and we'll be out in it, so come prepared. We have covered and indoor spaces available if we need them.

I have a dietary requirement. Can you accommodate me?

Yes, just drop us an email at [email protected] when you book and we'll make sure you're well looked after.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel more than 14 days before the event we'll offer a full refund. Inside 14 days we're unable to offer a refund, but you're welcome to transfer your place to someone else. Just let us know at [email protected]. We may also be able to transfer the cost of your ticket as credit to another event.

I have more questions. How do I get in touch?
